The Red Sea

The Red Sea

In terms of life under the ocean, this is one of the most wildly diverse areas in the world. Out of the more than 1100 species of fish catalogued, around ten percent are unique to the location. This rich diversity is due to the fringing reefs that extend along the coastline and are around 5000 to 7000 years old. These reefs shelter not only the 1100 or so species of fish, but also around 44 species of shark. If you go Red Sea Diving, you should be prepared to see beautiful specimens of sea life and to see them with exquisite clarity as well.
